I make work about myself, my hobbies, interests, and how those things intersect in this body. My work is largely about exploring how we navigate the world and our perception of it. I aim to hyperbolize certain elements of everyday life, creating fantasy scenarios that exemplify our dormant internal states. My work is frenetic and filled to the brim with energy, always a work in progress. I love to live in the realm of magical realism because, in a black body, this world often feels like the stuff of tragic fairy tales. I make work about love, loss, pain, and our collective effort to string experiences together.
